Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) Receives Five Emmy Award Nominations

Two series produced by The Christian Broadcasting Network received a total of five Daytime Emmy Award nominations.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences nominated CBN’s Made in Israel with Gordon Robertson for three awards and Superbook for two.

“CBN is honored to be nominated by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for our two special series’- Superbook and Made in Israel with Gordon Robertson,” said CBN chief executive officer, Gordon Robertson.

Made in Israel is a five-part series highlighting Israel’s remarkable innovation and ingenuity which has led the nation to a number of breakthroughs that make everyday life better for the people of Israel and around the world. It included segments on agriculture, water, medicine, environment and technology.

CBN’s William Ellison is nominated for “Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography.” CBN’s Jerusalem Bureau Photographer Lior Sperandeo gets a nod for “Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography.” And, CBN’s Erin Zimmerman is up for “Outstanding Special Class Writing.”

Each segment aired on The 700 Club in September 2013 during Rosh Hashanah. It is still available to view online here.

Superbook is an animated series that tells Bible stories, bringing the scriptures to life through the adventures of two children and a robot.

It received nominations for “Outstanding Achievement in Main Title and Graphic Design” and “Outstanding Original Song – Main Title and Promo.”
