The Rev. Tony Evans, founder and pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, will be keynote speaker for Hope Clinic, Inc., Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m. Tuesday at 300 N. Fifth St. in downtown Garland.
Evans and his wife, Lois, established the fellowship in 1976 with 10 persons in their home. He has been senior pastor for 37 years of the church which now numbers more than 10,000. He directs more than 100 ministries from the church as he continues his work as author, teacher and speaker.
He is the first African-American doctoral graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and is one of the country’s most respected leaders in evangelical circles, having devoted his life to preserving biblical truth and its uncompromising application to the whole of life.
