President Obama’s approval rating has hit a new low as Americans disapprove of his policies on the economy, health care and the crisis in Ukraine.
President Obama’s approval rating has fallen to a new low, according to a recent poll.
Only 41% of respondents approve of the job Obama is doing as President, according to the Washington Post/ABC News poll — the lowest marks of his five-plus years in office in any such Washington Post/ABC poll.
Another 52% said they outright disapprove of Obama, while another 7% said they had no opinion.
The marks represent a noticeable decline from the President’s approval ratings from even just earlier this year: 46% of respondents in an earlier version of the poll said they approved of Obama during the first three months of 2014.
Most of the dissatisfaction appeared to stem from three topics: the economy, the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the President’s signature health care law.
Respondents overwhelmingly expressed discontent in all three areas — 54% of respondents said they disapproved of Obama’s handling of the economy, compared to 42% who said they approved.
