Don’t know who Bundy is? Well, just last week, Cliven Bundy was being celebrated by the conservative set for his highly-publicized land dispute with the federal government. Folks like media personality Sean Hannity championed Bundy’s stance against out-of-control Big Government. It seems, however, Hannity didn’t do his homework on his new hero. In an interview with The New York Times, Bundy was revealed to be controversial in more than just his views toward government.

“They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton,” Bundy said to reporters, according to The New York Times. “And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”
