President Obama plans to visit the Oso mudslide Tuesday to meet with victim families and first responders one month after a hillside gave way and buried about three-dozen homes.

Searchers continue to look through the debris for four missing people. Thirty-nine bodies have been recovered from the landslide along the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River about 55 miles northeast of Seattle.

Obama is making the brief stop in Washington as he heads to Asia for an eight-day trip to Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines.
