Southern Baptist Convention president Fred Luter will be among speakers at the 2014 “Rewired” men’s conference at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center in Oklahoma.
The 2014 “Rewired” men’s conference is set for Friday and April 26 at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center.
Among the guest speakers for the event, sponsored by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, will be the Rev. Fred Luter Jr., Southern Baptist Convention president. The conference also will include outdoor activities and a variety of sessions.
Keith Burkhart, the convention’s family and men’s ministry specialist, said he is excited about the diverse sessions and speakers planned for the event.
Conference organizers are especially pleased to have the Luter as a guest speaker, Burkhart said. Luter, who became the Southern Baptist Convention’s first black president in 2012, is senior pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans.
“Through a variety of events, breakout sessions and activities, any man who attends the 2014 Rewired Men’s Conference will be equipped to be a man of influence in their church and community,” Burkhart said.
