“Awesome” songwriter Pastor Charles Jenkins of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago is having a not-so-awesome moment in his life.
A woman, supposedly upset over the award-winning pastor’s failure to pay money owed to her, in an extortion attempt, has leaked an embarrassing photograph of Jenkins, showcasing full frontal nudity.
First posted on the Obnoxious TV blog, in the graphic image, the Christian CEO of Inspired People Music, which recently signed gospel recording artist Byron Cage, is in the bathroom, facing the camera, brushing his teeth. It is not clear from the shot, which EEW Magazine has chosen not to post out of respect for his office, whether he knew he was being photographed at the time.
The influential leader, before now, has remained virtually scandal free since becoming widely known in 2012 after the release of his musical CD project, Pastor Charles Jenkins Presents Fellowship Chicago: The Best of Both Worlds.
It spawned the massive hit single, “Awesome,” which entered at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Song chart and remains a worship anthem in churches across America.
Big on legacy, in a recent interview with BET, Jenkins discussed the importance of being an example for the next generation.
