When the news first broke, TMZ.com called the investigation a “possible sexual assault.”
However, Miami police corrected the report, saying there were no charges pending, and all of the players were just involved in what they are calling a “suspicious incident.”
Colin Kaepernick apparently wasn’t happy with TMZ’s reporting, and he took to social media to sound off.
“The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I’ve seen are completely wrong,” Kaepernick said on his Twitter account Friday morning.
“They make things up about me that never happened. I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up. I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced.”
