Fighting Between Muslims and Christians Kills 30 In Central African Republic

The fighting between Muslims and Christians has left at least 30 people dead in the Central African Republic.

Others are fleeing their homes in an effort to escape the violence.

Everaldo De Suza of the Saint Anne parish in the central town of Dekoa said that the fighting began April 8 when Christian militants attacked and Muslim fighters fought back.

A Christian commander confirmed the fighting but denied that his forces had instigated the violence.
