On 8th Birthday, Twitter Opens Tweet Archive

‘Is this thing on?’ ‘Greeting, Tweetarians!’ We’ve come a long way since we first joined Twitter, and so have celebrities. Learn how to easily check your own first tweet and check out what some A-listers had to say when they, too, discovered the social site.

Remember your first tweet?

If not, let Twitter dig it up. To celebrate its eighth birthday, the social network launched a “First Tweet” website to let users step back in time and see the first message they ever posted on the social network.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey wrote the first tweet ever published in 2006: “Just setting up my twtr.”

For a trip back in time, check yours and post to Twitter with the hashtag #firsttweet.
