After initially signaling that his campaign might be over, Rick Perry is suggesting today that he won’t abandon his presidential bid.
The Texas governor wrote on his Twitter account: “Here we come South Carolina!” He said it’s “the next leg of the marathon.”
Perry attached a photo of himself jogging near a lake.
After winning 10 percent of the vote yesterday in Iowa, Perry said he would return to Texas to see “whether there is a path forward” for his White House bid. He told supporters in Iowa last night that he appreciated their work, but that he needed to consider whether there was a viable strategy for him to restart his campaign in South Carolina.
