WATCH: Senate Democrats Seek to Repeal Defense of Marriage Act

09137.jpgSenate Democrats are looking to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), a federal law that defines marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman.

Calif. Sen. Dianne Feinstein is pushing for the repeal.
Ten Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee support repealing DOMA, but the prospects are less than certain in the full Senate.
Repealing DOMA would require the federal government to recognize gay marriage in states where it is legal.
The hearing is set for Nov. 3.
Family Research Council senior fellow Peter Sprigg gave analysis on the latest effort to appeal DOMA. Click play for his comments.
