Clinton Urges Peace Talks to Resume in Visit to Israel

U.S. Is Increasing Its Presence in the Persian Gulf

hcsp.jpgThe Obama administration is bolstering the U.S. presence in the Persian Gulf by building a secret missile-defense radar station in Qatar, sending an additional aircraft carrier and preparing for its biggest minesweeping exercises in the region, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.

The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, seen here in December after Iran said it entered a restricted zone during Iranian war games, is headed to the Persian Gulf, the Pentagon announced Monday.
